Our team did a really good job at this past Saturday's tournament in Pigeon Forge. Our Midgets spanked the competition!! They took home 3, count 'em, 3 gold medals!! We had 25 kids entered in the tournament and took home a total of 14 medals. Not bad boys, not bad!! This is a great catapult into the State tournament next weekend...

This is exciting to report... We took 23 wrestlers... we brought home 23 medals!!! You guys ROCK!!!! And, I just noticed that Zach's mom has posted some pics in the photo album!! Thanks a Bunch Ty!!!

Hi everybody. A Few things of note...:

At Saturday's wrestling meet in Chattanooga, (2-21-09), a meet that a lot of really experienced wrestlers competed in, Our own Sammy and Noah Evans took home a Gold and a Silver medal!
Sammy won the Junior division heavyweight class, and received a "Best Wrestler in Class" trophy along with his Gold medal.
Noah won the Bantam 85lb class Silver. He would have had gold, but that medal went to a boy that was at least 20 lbs heavier than him, wrestling in his 85lb class.

Hey Everybody! Yesterday was exciting, if a bit long, and hot, and... long... We had a great time, took a total of 22 wrestlers with us and brought home 15 medals! Our Fighting Tigers brought home 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. We couldn't be prouder of our very young program!!! Here's the results: (Coach Rob broke it down for me)

In the Tot division:
45 lb weight class- Cody Owenby- Silver

In the Bantam division:
50 lb weight class- Elijah Hartsfield- Bronze

55 lb weight class- Blake Cooper- Gold

What time is that?? It's time for the 2009 season Rockford Tigers Football sign-ups!

We were informed last night that the sign-ups will take place on Saturday February 7th from 10am until 2pm in the Rockford Elementary School Gym. This is for all teams, Grasshoppers, Pee-wee's and Migets... ages 7-12.

Please bring your child's birth certificate and the registration fee of $60.

Our coaches are excited for the new season to begin... so join us and let's get this season off to a great start!
